This trek follows the ancient pilgrimage route from Dhunche to Gosainkunda, the holy lake. The winding trail climbs to an open hillside with spectacular views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Annapurna, Ganesh Himal and Langtang Lirung.

At Gosainkunda,  we will stop to explore the holy lake. Thousands of pilgrims travel to this lake each year to bath during the Hindu full moon festival in August. The trek provides opportunities to experience Tamang culture and to take in the lush green Lantang National Park.

The trek returns the same way, as far as Chyolangpati when it turns north and heads down to Thulo Syabru.  From Syabru Bensi, we will return back to Kathmandu by a private jeep or bus.
