Day 1: Kathmandu Arrival
Arrive in Kathmandu. Then transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu Valley City Tour
Enjoy a full day touring historic Kathmandu. You will see many world heritage sights including Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Monetary and Patan Durbar square.
Day 4: Safari Excursion in Chitwan National Park
You will explore the park first by canoe down the Rapti River. You can see Gharial as well as the elephant breeding center. After lunch, we will proceed into the jungle for a guided safari on an elephant’s back. You may see animals such as a rhino, antelope and other wildlife as you move through the jungle. After a full safari day, you will enjoy dinner and native Tharu culture dances.
Day 5: Chitwan to Lumbini.
We will wake up early in the morning for some bird watching before driving to Lumbini. We will have lunch in Lumbini and visit the Maya Devi. Buddha was born in Lumbini in 623 BC. Today, the holy site is a Buddhist pilgrimage sight and a symbol of world peace for different countries.
Day 6: Lumbini to Tansen
Tansen is situated 1,310 m above sea level, at the southern slope of Mahabharat range. Tansen is a colorful town with old houses and beautiful landscapes. Many types of people call Tansen home including Magar, Brahmin, Chhetri, Newar. It is known for its metal crafts, Dhaka cloth, shawls and caps.
Day 07: Tansen to Pokhara
After breakfast, we will enjoy a 75 km scenic drive from Tansen to Pokhara. We will relax at the hotel and you are free to walk around the endless shops in Pokhara-Lakeside.
Day 8: Sightseeing in Pokhara Valley
We will wake early to drive 45 minutes to Sarangkot’s high peak to enjoy the sunrise. After breakfast, we will go sight seeing around Pokhara. Sights include the international museum, Seti river gorge, Mahendra cave, Devis fall, Bindibashini temple and the old bazaar. In the evening, we will enjoy an hour long boat ride on Fewa Lake. Pokhara is so beautiful, some may even wish to extend their trip to explore the World Peace Stupa or Begnas and Rupa lake.
Day 9: Fly Pokhara to Kathmandu
The quick 30 minute flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu is almost as good as a mountain flight, if you have clear weather.
Day 10: Depart home
On the final day, explore Kathmandu’s tourist district, Thamel, to purchase some souvenirs before you head home or use the day as you please!
